Borealis Technical Limited Gibraltar March 1, 1999 BOREALIS ANNOUNCES FIFTH THERMIONIC PATENT Borealis Technical Limited, a subsidiary of Borealis Exploration Limited (NASD:BOREF, CDN:BSXC) would like to announce that its Patent 5,874,039, "Low Work-Function Electrode", has been issued by the US Patent and Trademark Office. This is the fifth patent the company has been issued relating to its thermionic emission technology. "We are continuing to make real progress in developing low work-function cathodes for a wide range of applications" said Isaiah Cox, Borealis Technical COO. "With five issued patents and many more pending applications we intend to build a dominant position in the field." Borealis Technical Limited is a subsidiary of Borealis Exploration Limited. Borealis Exploration Limited has 4,986,000 shares outstanding.
